Marlies Hofstede (1969)
was born and raised in the Netherlands.
After a highschool class in photography she told her parents she wanted to be a photographer. In slight amazement they told her to follow a course and if she still liked it she could apply for Royal Art Academy in The Hague (KABK) . She was accepted and the rest is history.
